Boynton Beach is a city in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The population was 60,389 at the 2000 census. As of 2006, the city had a population of 67,071 according to the University of Florida, Bureau of Economic and Business Research.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 42.1 km² (16.2 mi²). 41.1 km² (15.9 mi²) of it is land and 1.0 km² (0.4 mi²) of it (2.28%) is water.
Demographics
As of 2000, speakers of English accounted for 80.09% of all residents, while French Creole comprised of 7.51%, Spanish was at 7.30%, French consisted of 1.02%, Italian at 0.97%, and German made up 0.87% of the population.

Boynton Beach, like all of Palm Beach County, is served by the School District of Palm Beach County. As of 2006, it was the 5th largest school district in Florida and the 14th largest school district in the United States.
